Hi! My name is Nomfundo but you can call me ‘Nomz’ for short. I am a qualified teacher and Human Resource Administrator from South Africa. I am very excited to live and teach in Taiwan.

My everyday dream and passion is to teach, inspire and empower children to reach their full potential. I have 10 years’ experience working in corporate where I interacted with professionals from diverse backgrounds. After I completed my Bachelor of Education degree my love for teaching young kids grew. For the past year I have been a part of a programme that teaches non-English speaking kids how to read and write in English. I am currently working as a lecturer at a training college where we focus on equipping young adults with skills.

My goal is to create a colourful, vibrant and welcoming classroom environment that embraces the learner’s diverse needs and gifts. I will focus on ensuring that each child’s individuality is valued. I believe that children learn more effectively through social experiences and building relationships. As an Educator my philosophy is to inculcate a positive and caring attitude amongst my learners, where each learner believes that they are special and loved.

I love to experience culture through food and I am super excited about going to the Night Markets. I am also excited about soaking in the Hot Springs and travelling to different places in Asia. I cannot wait to experience everything that Taichung has to offer.
