🌟 Cornel Summer Camp|Week Four Highlights
Learning Through Play, Growing Through Exploration
In Week Four, our students became toy inventors and board game designers, and even stepped into a woodworking studio to craft their own creations — a week full of hands-on discovery!
🎡 Toy Inventors
Students unleashed their engineering creativity, hand-making a surprise gashapon machine, a Mario-themed pinball table, an air hockey game, and even a light-sensing robot (solar-powered pinwheel) — learning mechanical principles through hands-on play.
🎲 Board Game Designers
Building on last week’s introduction to board games, students worked together in teams this week to complete their very own original board games! From designing rules and characters to finalizing the finished product, each team brought creativity and teamwork together to craft a fully playable game — showcasing both collaboration and English communication skills.
🪚 Carpenter
Students visited the Carpenter Woodworking Studio in Houli, embarking on a hands-on woodworking adventure!
✔ Woodworking Basics: learning drilling, sanding, and assembly techniques
✔ ESG Keychain Craft: hand-making a personalized keychain, turning creativity into a wearable keepsake
✔ Carbon Capture Measurement & Painting: learning how charcoal captures carbon, then painting their finished pieces to complete a truly one-of-a-kind creation
From toy invention to game design to woodworking, Week Four students built something amazing with their own two hands!
