🌈 Cornel Creative Exploration Summer Camp | Week 4 Highlights

🏴‍☠️ Have you ever wondered how people traveled across rivers and oceans long ago?

This week, our students became time travelers and learned about different English tenses, discovering how to use the present tense and past tense to describe events that happen at different times.

The highlight of the week was our Float & Sink Experiment! Students designed and built their own boats, testing whether they would float or sink and discovering which designs could travel the fastest. Through hands-on experiments, they learned the science behind buoyancy and confidently presented their designs and results in English. 🚢🌊

🎨 Creative Enrichment Classes

This week, students built Gear Shuttle Cars to explore how gears work and created imaginative designs during our Pixel Art class, including bubble tea, Pikmin flowers, and many other creative masterpieces. 🤩

Our favorite trampoline class kept everyone active and energized, while the final steel tongue drum lesson ended on a high note as students performed the famous Studio Ghibli theme song “Castle in the Sky.” 🎵

🚌 Field Trip | Shennong Farm

This week’s field trip took us to Shennong Farm, where students visited the charming Hobbit House and experienced the traditional process of making mochi. From pounding steamed glutinous rice together to coating it with peanut powder, everyone enjoyed tasting the delicious treat they helped make. 😋

Students also created their own bamboo cicada crafts, filling the farm with cheerful buzzing sounds, and discovered that two-needle pine leaves can even be used for fun traditional games. It was a wonderful day of exploring nature and learning through hands-on experiences. 🌿

💛 Our four-week Creative Exploration Summer Camp has come to a wonderful conclusion! Through English, science, art, music, sports, and outdoor adventures, our students not only gained new knowledge but also developed confidence, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. We believe the memories made this summer will become treasured moments that inspire them for years to come. 🌈✨
