My journey into Taiwanese culture began right in my hometown, where I was first captivated by its rich culinary and arts scene.<\/p>\n<p>I studied at Wesleyan University where I obtained my Bachelor\u2019s degree in filmmaking and visual art. Post-graduation, I embarked on a transformative journey with the Peace Corps, teaching English and Mathematics in Liberia and the Comoros Islands. These experiences not only deepened my commitment to education but also instilled in me a profound appreciation for cultural diversity and community resilience.<\/p>\n<p>Furthering my academic pursuits, I undertook dual master&#8217;s degrees in Education and Socially Impactful Business from Middlebury Institute of International Studies. Armed with this interdisciplinary knowledge, I&#8217;m driven to make meaningful contributions at the intersection of business and social development, empowering communities to thrive.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past four years, I have created and published the Habibti Pada book series. The comic book is about a young African girl who immigrated to Lebanon where she faces off against a new culture, a new language, and new monsters from Arab mythology.<\/p>\n<p>In my approach to education, I advocate for project-based, interdisciplinary, and student-centered learning. I believe in creating dynamic learning environments where students are encouraged to explore their interests, collaborate with peers, and apply critical thinking skills to real-world challenges. My classroom is a space where curiosity is nurtured, creativity is celebrated, and every voice is heard.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond teaching, my interests span a wide spectrum of activities. I am very excited to explore the arts and film scene in Taichung. I&#8217;m also a big outdoorsman and look forward to surfing, spearfishing and rock-climbing on the eastern coast of Taiwan.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to meeting you and working with you this coming school year!<\/p>\n<p>T.
