🌟 Cornel Summer Camp|Week Two Highlights Learning Through Play, Growing Through Exploration

In Week Two, our students filled the week with the sweet aroma of baking, the boundless imagination of comic-making, and an authentic taste of rural farm life!

🧁 Baking
Students became little bakers, hand-making strawberry fruit snow cookies, cupcakes, cartoon-shaped cookies, and caramel nut rice tarts — building patience and a sense of accomplishment through kneading, shaping, and baking.

🎨 Little Comic Creators Part 2
Continuing their comic-making journey from last week, students not only completed their own comic books but also created comic merchandise — collectible cards and posters — bringing their original characters to life beyond the page.

🌾 Dongluo Creek Farm, Changhua
This week, students stepped into rural life for a truly authentic Taiwanese farm experience!

✔ Hand-making Hongguiguo (red tortoise cakes): a traditional glutinous rice cake popular across Taiwan and Fujian, shaped with a tortoise-shell pattern and filled with red bean or peanut — its red color symbolizing good fortune
✔ Kiln cooking: students prepared their own ingredients and coated them in clay, experiencing this traditional farming technique firsthand
✔ Scarecrow DIY: no farm experience is complete without making a scarecrow — students got creative crafting their very own!

From baking to creating to farm life, Week Two students made something truly their own — and it shows in their proud smiles!
