Gabrial Goering

Qualification:

William Jewell CollegeーElementary Education

My name is Gabrial Goering, but most people know me as Gabby. I will be at teacher at the Nan Men campus for the 2018-2019 school year. I am from Missouri in the United States, and I have lived there most of my life. I am a 2018 graduate from William Jewell College where I received my degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Theatre.

I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. However, it wasn’t until this passed summer that I found a passion for traveling. During a month long trip, I had an opportunity to teach and study abroad in Chippenham, England. I was also able to travel to Poland, Rome, and Ireland. Since my trip, I have become completely obsessed with traveling. The world is a large place, and I am itching to see as much of it as I possibly can! I am beyond grateful that Cornel School has given me the opportunity to morph my passion of teaching with my passion for traveling.

My main teaching goal is to create a classroom culture that promotes learning, creativity, and laughter. To do this, I will be making strong relationships with each and every one of my students, so I can create learning experiences that best fit their needs and interests. As a teacher, I put my students’ needs first, and I will do whatever it takes to ensure my students’ success!

I cannot wait to see what Taiwan has in store for me. I am excited to meet my new students and colleagues. I just know I am going to have an incredible time growing and learning with the students and staff. I am also extremely excited to travel all over the beautiful country of Taiwan and read books on its beautiful beaches.
